I know when I was on weight watchers (and lost over 20lbs) a food diary was key to losing weight. It's a matter of acknowledgement and being straight up about what you eat and what you plan to eat. And luckily these days it's as simple as punching in my entries on an iphone app rather than jotting down in an actual journal. Take note:

food diary sounds like a good idea! i have a app on my andriod phone that keeps track of calories and what not but i am sure that it will get old scanning everything i eat. so i believe i will start this diary tomorrow! thank ya!!
